Did You Know?

• Ancient Hawaiians had amazing physique (often standing over 7 feet tall and some able to swim between islands) and lifespan.  Chief Kualiʻi, for example, was said to have ruled Oʻahu for over a hundred years, and was still able to give leadership when, at the end of his life, he had to be carried from place to place in a net. 

 

• The ancient Hawaiian diet is estimated to have been (and continues to be, for some!) about 78% complex carbohydrates, 12% protein, 10% fat, and very high in fiber*.  In other words, super healthy!

 

• In traditional thinking, physycal and spiritual health are not separate.  Medicines, prayer and good diet are all used together.
